nearly visited Davey Jones Locker

Today Steve's hat and I visited this cache Welcome to Paradise and we had to travel by boat.  We were whipping along and suddenly : Swoosh!! Steve's hat flew off my head, immediately accompanied by a loud cry of OH NO!! from me.
I'd like to say it was good management by me, by it was only by pure luck that Steve's hat landed in the back of the boat rather than in the briny deep.

A close call

As you can see from the top left hand corner of this picture, the hat made it safely to (and from) the cache.  It's next adventure will be in the US

Note: Do I count the unloved on this cache? The only visitor in 10 months was the same person a heap of time.

Cursing the islands

Steve's hat went on a cruise of some of the islands yesterday 

If it had as much to drink as I did, it had a very nice time. 

Fiji

Today, just before dinner on the beach, Steve's hat visited what might be its only cache on Fiji. Then it was time to celebrate.

Turns out Steve's hat is a bit cheap and will pick up any old hat it finds!!

Yasur

Meaning old man in the native language, Steve's hat made a visit to a volcano today. It is now sooooo covered in ash it might need to go for another swim tomorrow. 

As you can see, it was somewhat cloudy 

Heaps of explosions heard and even exploding red stuff.

The only cache in Port Vila

There is only one cache in Port Vila, and now Steve's hat has been there. We also replaced the log (after organising this with the CO before leaving Melbourne)

Overcast but arrived

Steve's hat has arrived here in Vanuatu. It is a bit overcast. Steve's hat has been a little shocked at some of the damage that is still evident from cyclone Pam. There was a massive hole in the roof outside of the airport. A lot of the houses we drove past are still under tarps. It feels very 3rd world here, but Steve's hat has been OS before so what does it know?

There is only one cache on the whole of Efate, the island Port Vila is on, so we will list that at some point. If we survive the drive back to town.... the road is.... interesting.... especially in a little van.

This time in Nadi. It has finished the romance novel it was reading and is now onto the steam book
